International Tongue Twister Day

Say “She sells sea shells by the sea shore. The shells
she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I’m sure
she sells seashore shells” really fast on November 13, because it’s
International Tongue Twister Day!

Tongue twisters are present in all languages. They are
those challenging phrases difficult to articulate especially when said really
fast. The main idea of tongue twisters is to put words with similar sounds or
letters in one sentence. In sign languages they are known as finger fumblers.
Usually tongue twisters are just as word games for children. Whoever says it
without a mistake wins. Have a look at our list and check your tongue in

German: Zwischen zwei Zwetschgenzweigen sitzen zwei

Polish: W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w
trzcinie.

Spanish: Pablito tenia un palito, un palito que pedia pablito;

Bulgarian: Шише със уши на шосе се суши (Shishe sas ushi na
shose se sushi)

Italian: Trentatre trentini entrarono a Trento tutti e
trentatré trotterellando.

Romanian: Șase sași în șase saci, you read It shase sashi în
shase saci.

Russian: Два щенка щека к щеке щиплют щетку в уголке.

έφαγες παχιά φακή (O papas o pakhus efage paceia faki. Giati, papa pakhu, efages
pakheia faki)

Hindi: Chandu ke chacha ne Chandu Ki chachi Ko
Chandni raat mein Chandni chowk mein Chandi ke chammach Se chatani
chataai
